backyard miniature castle for richard conrad's daughter made from stone and masonry

Backyard Miniature Castle

As a present for our daughter, our staff hand-built this imaginative miniature castle in our very own backyard. The project itself was inspired by local artist, John Medica, who taught himself masonry and built 28 miniature buildings on his Santa Rosa property.

Each “brick” of our own castle was hand-cut to size from leftover multi-blend stone. We used white cement to build the castle without detracting from the varying color and natural look of the stone. The backyard castle features a small wooden door, stone ramparts around the front, a courtyard, and stone steps leading up to the “keep”.

Our daughter is a huge fan, and we are very grateful for the labor of love.
